"I think one of the most threatening places to be in politics is a black conservative," Mr. Scott says, "because there are so many liberals who want to continue to reinforce a stereotype that doesn't exist about America." What stereotype is that? "That somehow, some way, if you're a Republican you're a racist and if you're black, there's no chance for you in society.
"We have serious challenges in this nation. Some are racial. But in my life, the vast majority of people that have really afforded me the opportunity to succeed were white folks. Is there a better way to say that?"

Would never say if your Republican you are a racist. Where are the moderate Republican’s though and for that matter where are the moderate Democrats? The many problems we face right now can be summed up in “ no compromise” which is what this country was founded on. Black, white, brown, we need to raise taxes on everyone and get ourselves out of this mess.
I didn’t create it as a middle class person, but am willing to help. I’m sorry tea party people can’t see that working together is about getting part of what you want but also seeing that everyone matters.
Taxes are never low enough for some people, who by the grace of God were born in this country and got the biggest break anyone in the world got, and somehow they just hide under the blanket “ I don’t want to pay taxes because the govt. wastes money”
But the real reason is they just don’t want to pay. The amount of selfishness in this country on both sides is appalling. Obama is not the problem, Boehner is not the problem it is simply we have forgotten to look out for the other person and stop judging others. I view the billionaires ( how much do you need) in this country the same as the “ won’t work people” they both have their priorities wrong.
Re- electing people with a 6% approval rating was stupid. The definition of insane is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. These Tea Party people care only about themselves. Well let's go over the fiscal cliff, maybe it's best.
