Stimulus or Hand Out

Well here we go again...PORK< PORK< PORK they can call it what they want but it is more Pork, and the Big O said there would not be any of that during his administration...not off to a good start. When will these dipshits figure out that debt spending will not work, can't get out of debt by creating more debt...DUH!!!and if they think it would work then every friggin dime should go to creating jobs. Did you love the clip when the Big O had all the big boys from the major corporations there to talk about his plan, and when the reporter asked "do you think this bill will pass today" Big O said I feel it will...well if that was the case what did he bring in the big execs for...window dressing...sound to me that the deal was done. It truly is to bad that everyone can't put aside all their personal BS and REALLY work together to get this country back on track...have a nice day

From our friend Jeff, always prescient and concise.

It is bad enough that the left is trying to tell auto makers how to make cars, now they are trying to manage the population likes a crop.

You are right Richie, this is not Socialism, it is Stalinist communism.

Alarmist you say?

Nancy Pelosi, defended placing abortion funding in the stimulus bill as a potential economic benefit and not for job creation.

This is truly profound. The government is now actively managing the population. The government now sees new citizens as a burden rather than contributors.

I have a chill. Detaining enemies of the state palls in comparison to this barbarism. Then again, when a candidate can state that a girl is "punished with a child", without recrimination, this is what should be expected.

War Crimes!

I guess the "O" sent a drone over to Pakistan and sent several Taliban to their virgins.

Hey, wasn't the world supposed to love us now?

And those dead guys? Think they suffered prior to their death? Something like torture?

And they got killed without court appointed lawyers. Speaking of which, if instead of a drone, some heroic soldier shot them up and captured them, we do what with them now? You know those darn pesky enemy combatants. Guess they would be brought to Brooklyn, given a lawyer and a fair trial. Hope there are not too many or better they should just be dead, so aim carefully President "O".

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Gosh, I guess when the "O" needs to ask his assistant, Mr. Craig, in front of the press, to explain his executive orders, it must be because he is sooo smart.

The "O" did not know if his executive order closing Gitmo in one year (we shall see) also dealt with the judicial process of its "citizens".

Imagine if President Bush had asked a similar question.

I know, the "O" is just too busy being smart to know things (like the content of his executive orders).

And....if I was yellow and was told to be mellow, I would be pissed and offended.

Obama needs to Raise the Age + The Gas Tax

I agree with Krugman that we need $800B of stimulus per year, not over two years. I also agree that the money needs to go to tangible assets that will make our country richer and more competitive. If we are going to spend that much and finance it selling bonds, something has to give. We have to show the world (bond buyers) that we have a handle on our long term fiscal policy.

A Pardon for Bush?

There has been talk of a war crimes trial for Bush and holding him at Gitmo pending adjudication. Should Obama pardon President Bush the same way that Ford pardoned Nixon?

Congratulations to a group!

As we approach the Inauguration, I do want to pause a moment to celebrate the truly historic nature of his election and of course enjoy the pride of a group that has finally had its race issues addressed.

That group of course, is the vast majority of Americans for whom race has never been an issue and who have (for once and all?) demonstrated that they would support any candidate regardless. Yea us!

However, my little self, I do not support the man or the hoopla, because I think he is a recalcitrant liberal who is going to wreck this country. Fierce opposition, rather than placation is the highest form of respect.

Such an historic event will mean a lot to those in the A-A community and their pride is showing. However, after the glow is gone, I wish for them an honest appraisal of their unconditional support of the Democratic party. Conservatism/Capitalism remains the best and fairest system for economic growth and freedom.

Bush Bush Bush

The remarkable thing about President George W. Bush wasn't that he was a horrible chief executive; it's that he was horrible in so many ways.

From our friend Jeff

Yes, reality is indeed doing an all to uncomfortable imitation of Atlas Shrugged.

Following is from a news story today. It sounds straight out of Atlas Shrugged.

The Senate will not approve more bailout money for banks unless it includes limits on executive pay and help for struggling homeowners, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd said on Monday.
"Executive compensation needs to be dealt with, we mentioned foreclosure mitigation needs to be part of this as well," Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat, said on ABC's "Good Morning America."
"My colleagues in the Senate will not provide any additional funds unless they are assured by the Obama administration that these provisions will be a part of it," he said.
Any additional aid must also include stronger oversight provisions, limits on merger and acquisition activity, and protections for taxpayers, Dodd said.

MTP

This fool, the "O", has chosen David Bonior as one of his economic advisers.

Today he talked about putting the stimulus through the "new green economic prism".

The man was whacked as a Rep. and now is an advisor to our economy?

How does the "O" know that green is where we should put our resources.  How is this not anything but collectivism?  Taking our taxes to implement a government plan?  These idiot plans did not work out so well for the Soviet 5 year plans, but I forget... the "O" is so smart, he will save us.

Mr. Bonior then talked about the need to increase unionization to improve the economy, see previous video.

God help us!

Time to stand up

During a conversation today with a friend.

"The "O" is a moderate", he said "no he is not he is a socialist", said I "you would say that, you are a right winger" he said, " no, I am a capitalist, and I believe in capitalism as the fairest and best system to manage the economy" said I. He said, to me in an unbelievable line of thinking, "I think we should redistribute the wealth", I said "that is communism and that has never worked, give me one good example". And he named Switzerland and others.

Joe Biddley is right, time to stand up. Time to be patriotic. Time to tell the truth....wait it was already done over 50 years ago.

Congress and the Senate

OK everyone how do you feel about this thought. Here we have thousands of people getting laid off or loosing their jobs due to the downturn in the economy. All of these people went to work everyday, paid their bills, worked hard etc. At the same time our Senators and Congressmen were up their on Capital Hill supposedly watching over our financial institutions, the crooks on Wall Street etc. OOOPS what happened, well I will tell you a couple of things that have not happened. How many of those people that were involved with Fannie and Freddie have gone to jail for cooking the books...to date none...Oh yea how many have lost their jobs...ahhh none...how many have had their benefits or salaries cut...ahh none again...so do they feel the pain that a lot of people are feeling...don't think so. Their answer is to put us more in debt, raise our tax's and have government get more involved with our everyday life...maybe what these individuals need to do is get out of the cherry bowl life they are leading and listen and feel what the everyday American is feeling. I personally am waiting for the revolt in this country by the people to say enough is enough.

What Has Happened to Capitalism

Bailouts, Stimulus packages, States lining up for handouts, banks not lending money...give me a break. What about the idea of letting our Capital System work in this country. What about the idea of instead of handing out Billions of dollars to people to stimulate the economy (which by the way is a short term fix, if a fix at all) we cut tax's, cut capital gains, cut corporate tax's, look at the consumption tax idea. These types of ideas are long term things that will rebuild this economy, and at the same time not put our children and grand children into debt for ever. All this stimulus crap is doing is building a bigger and less efficient government. Apparently government thinks that if they are involved with every aspect of our lives, our lives will be better...don't think so. Tell me one or two government programs that have worked??? Anyway my feeling is that Capitalism will work if we just suck it up and get back in that game
