PELOSI: Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or, a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance, or that people could start a business and be entrepreneurial and take risk but not [be] job-locked because a child has asthma or someone in the family is bipolar. You name it. Any condition is job-blocking.
Nancy...who is going to pay for hippie care?

This is a lousy point, Dr J. You have already agreed that everyone needs to buy insurance if we are going to require insurance companies to take all comers, without respect to preexisting conditions. We are supposed to leave hippies off the list? If they have income, they will have to buy insurance. If they have no income or assets, well, they are poor and receive Medicaid today.
Why would any physician condemn anyone to go through life in these United States without adequate health care?
