This is a lousy point, Dr J. You have already agreed that everyone needs to buy insurance if we are going to require insurance companies to take all comers, without respect to preexisting conditions. We are supposed to leave hippies off the list? If they have income, they will have to buy insurance. If they have no income or assets, well, they are poor and receive Medicaid today.

Why would any physician condemn anyone to go through life in these United States without adequate health care?
