2 Questions

Dear Bloggers (those who Baxter has not scared off)

Is our country bankrupt?
      If not then how come?

Will Obama propose anything in his upcoming speech that will help our country needs?

Will spending money we do not have, to build roads and bridges do anything of long term signficiance?
Will spending more money on green energy, to produce a tiny amount of jobs help?
Will taxing the most suscessful sginificantly reduce our deficit?

Will he propose anything except the above?

there will be nothing new because he has nothing new to offer...his DNA is big government, make people rely on the government for their existence (meaning him), tax the rich so he can spread the wealth to people, Is our country bankrupt YUP...we need major stimulus for this country to get back on its feet, and right now we do not have anyone in office who has held a job or know how to run a business...look at the post office...labor cost is 80% of their expense....Fed X 30%..so who do you want running your business government or the head management team at Fed X....green energy is a farce, look at ethanol..costs more to produce the shit than they can sell if for...not sure but that seems like a formula for disaster. Solar plant in CA 532 million down the drain..bankrupt...loved the speech that Obama gave though about how this was our future....man is not in touch with the surface he walks on. Seems like a simple answer is that if you give people more money to spend and save they will do just that, spend and save, and if you give corporation the incentive to stay in this country and produce goods they will do that, if you cut government by 30% it would still run just fine and maybe a little more efficient. On the other hand if you tax the hell out of people they have no money to spend, if goods and services continue to skyrocket, they have no money to spend, if government continues to grow it costs more to run a machine that is already running on metal against metal and about ready to come to a grinding halt. But remember the first statement..it is not in his DNA..yo-yo was a community organizer for christ sake, and Joe Bite me could not sell pussy on a troop train

Dear Bloggers (those who Baxter has not scared off) NO ONE HAS BEEN SCARED OFF, DOC. THIS IS A VIGOROUS POLITICAL BLOG, NOT FOR THE FAINTHEARTED. YOUR FRIENDS ARE NOT PUSSYS.

Is our country bankrupt? NO.
If not then how come? WE'RE SUPPOSED TO PROVE A NEGATIVE?

Will Obama propose anything in his upcoming speech that will help our country needs? ABSOLUTELY.

Will spending money we do not have, to build roads and bridges do anything of long term significance? YES - EMPLOYING PEOPLE TODAY AND PREVENTING A SECOND DIP INTO THE GREAT RECESSION, THE GREAT CONTRACTION, WILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON FUTURE TAX REVENUES, THUS ENABLING A BALANCED BUDGET, THEN SURPLUSES (SUCH AS IN THE CLINTON ERA), IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT IF TIME.
Will spending more money on green energy, to produce a tiny amount of jobs help? NOT NECESSARILY. WE NEED A GOOD, STIFF CARBON TAX THAT WILL ALLOW THE FREE MARKET TO FIND EFFICIENT, COST EFFECTIVE GREEN APPROACHES. A REVENUE NEUTRAL CUT TO FICA TAXES WOULD MAKE THE PLAN ALL THE SWEETER.
Will taxing the most successful significantly reduce our deficit? DEFINE "MOST SUCCESSFUL". IF WE WENT BACK TO CLINTON TAX STRUCTURE WE WOULD CUT THE DEFICIT IN HALF. THAT WOULD BE SIGNIFICANT.

Will he propose anything except the above? YES

Yes jim taxing the wealthy will help reduce the deficit. a journey starts with one step.

A journey. We are 14 trillion in debt and have 60 to 100 in obligations and you think taxing will get us out of this mess?

We need broad based tax cuts to release our economy.

We need regulatory reform to unlease our suscessful.

We need a different President.
