I think taxes are too high in both CA + NJ. I think the taxes at the federal level were PERFECT under WJC, where we brought in over 20% of GDP and had surpluses.

Apparently, you + the GOP think we should have massive deficits during times of growth and balance the budget during recession. The term for that is "ass backwards".

You will never get "it". There is no benefit from an government bringing in 20% of GDP.

No we do not want deficits; now I know this is hard to comprehend, so please pay attention, we want the size and scope of government limited.

Your side was in control and what happened?

The last time my side was in control we structurally changed taxes (1993), controlled growth of spending, brought in over 20% of GDP and balanced the budget.

Which side is better? Pick one or the other based upon RESULTS, not anachronistic rhetoric.
