So Terry? How exactly do YOU want to address/solve our deficit?

Last week, Obama invited another man from Wisconsin, Rep. Paul Ryan, to hear his budget speech from a front-row seat.

Obama used the occasion to blast Ryan's own 10-year budget, mischaracterizing it as about Scrooge-like cuts to the poor instead of saving money so that there would always be funds for the poor.

"Their vision is less about reducing the deficit than it is about changing the basic social compact in America," Obama said. And, in a stunning bit of mendacity, he warned that "children with autism or Down's syndrome" would suffer against "every millionaire and billionaire in our society."

These are divisive words, favorites of Marxist-Leninist class warfare — the kind that drove nations like the Soviet Union to the verge of bankruptcy.

In the end, that's what it comes down to: calling for tax hikes against an ever-dwindling number of taxpayers, as the White House demonizes any objectors as evil "millionaires and billionaires."

That's what passes for "fairness" and "unity" with this bunch.

Terry - Have the Doc answer his own question first. He has never said how he'd do it, since he's "not a legislator!"

Doc - "Ever dwindling number of taxpayers." Huh? It was Bush & GOP Congress that took so many of the low end of the income tax rolls - it was a fig leaf for the rest of their tax cuts, disproportionately enjoyed by the wealthy.

Obama words are "divisive"? Wow! You mean that Socialist, Muslim, Keynan is being mean to you guys? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Jim for once I agree bad choice of words. The problem he is just trying to get re-elected now and using tactics I thought he should be above. I think class warefare wins this upcoming race because it is easy to demonize the rich, something you accuse me of all the time. I believe we all should have our taxes raised. I believe we should have means testing for social security, I believe it is a shared battle, but don't hurt the poor, who can least handle it. Obama said as a Senator "I will not vote to raise the debt ceiling" now he says different, that is simply wrong.
I thought he was a different man, but Washington has destroyed his idealism, because you Republicans decided not to work for the American people but to get rid of him, just as you did to Clinton.
The day Clinton took office and the day Obama took office, job one was to say get them out of office, we will not work together, it's sad!
It seems getting them out of office is your only goal, first it was overturn an election because of a BJ, Impeacment! my God Judge Judy could have decided that case) and now overturn an election over a birth certificate. It's funny if it wasn't so real.
