Germany

Very interesting point on Larry King the other night, that Larry did not have an answer for. The Holocaust was done by Nazi's (Germany ) in Germany. Why did the Palestine's have to give up their land for the Jewish refugees? Why didn't Germany give up land since they committed the atrocities?

The Palestinians were clearly jobbed and I do not blame them for resisting. It is amazing the impact that a nation of six million has in international relations. The tail that wags the dog...

In hindsight, it would have been wonderful to create Israel out of defeated German territory. However, the whole Zionist concept will not stand the test of time. Any nation "by and for" any particular ethnic group or religion is racist per se. If there had been a secular state created and populated with resettled Jews, that would have been wonderful and deserved. The Europeans have spent centuries persecuting their non-Christian brethren. But, going forward, the laws of the state could not favor the Jews as, again, that plants legitimate seeds of resentment and resistance.

Finally - the idea that any particular land belongs to certain people by divine right or title granted in antiquity is ludicrous.
