Poll on Fox News Sunday

On Sunday, Chris Wallace interviewed Sarah Palin in the first segment of Fox News Sunday. FNC put up a poll that showed Palin at the head of the pack in 2012 Republican preferences. If you are wondering who conducted the poll, it was Research 2000, the respected and non-partisan pollster that also conducted the recent poll that the GOP found embarrassing. So - the FNC talking heads bashed the 23% of-Republicans-want-to-secede poll but when they wanted a poll for their flagship Sunday morning political show, they used... Research 2000.

If the 2012 Primary for President were held today, which of the following would you vote for?
Sarah Palin 16%
Mitt Romney 11%
Dick Cheney 10%
Newt Gingrich 7%
Mike Huckabee 7%
Tim Pawlenty 3%
Ron Paul 2%
John Thune 2%
Undecided 42%

Interesting - I saw the same thing last night on Olbermann. Let's treat like you guys do - much ado about nothing, let's wave it off - doesn't matter.

However, I love to watch you guys get all twisted over Fox and Palin. Even though you have all the major networks and cable in the can with exception of Fox, even though you have nearly all print in the can save WSJ, you worry about little ol' Fox. Why is it so popular, hmmm. You guys even tried with Air-America - a complete failure and because of that you want the "fairness doctrine" back.

Then we come to Palin - why even worry or pay attention to her, she's so dumb.

Anyway the Research 2000 poll - doesn't matter, pay no attention. Kind of like Ayers, Wright, Van Jones, Duncan - they don't matter.
Move along nothing to see here.

Ever read the Daily Kos - what a sane group they are. How about the Huffington Post, the Nation - great people!

Spare me!

Oh and the talking heads at CNN and MSNBC would never do something like Fox - Oh God no, Oh how could anybody think that - they are as pure as the wind driven snow. They speak only the truth.

Right!

FNC is the ratings leader because they get the whole conservative crowd. Every other network splits up everybody else. I do not fault Roger Ailes - I think the guy is an absolute media genius and he is true believer to boot. I just call out FNC for what they are - a right wing channel that heavily influences their viewers, many of whom hold radical views.

It is the passionate support of Palin by the Republican base that is so meaningful. Like the Research 2000 poll, it tells us a lot. You & Hags are intellectually serious, not populist and you recognize her inadequacy for high office. You two are in a shrinking minority within your party.

I do not support the "fairness doctrine" and neither does Obama. I think it would be ruled unconstitutional if it were ever tested.
