At a speech on April 18, 2009 at a rally for healthcare reform in Chicago, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL, 9th CD) admitted that a strategic objective of the Obama healthcare reform plan is to destroy the private health insurance industry.

She admits the Health Care push - "is not a principled fight. This is a fight about strategy for getting there..." And getting there means the complete destruction of all 1,ooo to 1,500 companies that provide health care.

These people are facists. They want to control everything that we need or want. They want to control which doctor you see and who can even see the doctor. This is truly frightful and will add to the downfall of our economy once and for all.

You cannot even begin to fix the health care system without tort reform. The cost of malpractice insurance is just a small piece of the cost structure. What about all of the additional tests and procedures done in the name of making sure that there are no possible areas missed that could result in a law suit by someone claiming "well why didn't you perform this test". This portion of the invoice which contains all "the cover my ass blood tests and other procedures" is never mentioned in the on going debate of why health care costs increase. In all of the other countries that Terry discussed in his left wing talking points post, not one of these industrialized countries have a system where the plaintiff doesn't have to pay the costs of the defendant when they lose. It is one of the greatest hypocrisises that the Democrats say they want to lower health care costs yet lie in bed with all of the tort lawyers.

Mark, writing the truth as always.

This is just a naked power grab.

Yeah, you know the Democrats. They just want to grab power and kill all the old people.

What an enlightened conversation...
