Health Care

Someone has to pay for my health care.

I can

You can

or

Our children can

Seems like "O" is going for the third option.

Our current system sucks. We pay more per capita than other western industrialized countries yet we are the only one that does not enjoy universal coverage. Our health outcomes are below most of our peer group. We need to change the rules of the game pursuant to universal coverage and cost containment.

To be clear, you want to ration care rather than have the consumer of care pay for what they receive.

Or

You think that free market economics is not applicable to health care? Why?

How do you know the claims you make? Reading liberal blog's does not make falsehoods true.

I don't read liberal blogs. Who has the time to read any blogs but this one?

I do not support any form of government rationing save for those receiving public assistance. He who pays the piper names the tune.

I believe it is the governments role to set the rules of the game to achieve the best results. Our current health care policy is not particularly free market and the results, on balance, suck.

There are many reforms necessary - roughly half of which you + I would agree on. Tort reform is needed. The end user needs to pay for services to some degree. Personal responsibility needs to be incorporated - including higher rates for those lifestyles that are likely to disproportionately use the system.

The status quo is completely unacceptable.

but you support the side which coddles the lawyers!

He who pays the piper. Your F-----g piper is wrestling the whole private economy away from its owners and giving it to the government!

He is an unmitigated failure and is going to fall hard, hopefully before he destroys this country.
