Let's talk about something easier. Abortion, that is easy right? Its wrong.
I mean, if you end the life of a baby after it is born, it is wrong. Right?
So, the day before, still wrong. Right?
So, what babies are born after their 6th month?
And yes, by the logical extension of my logic, life begins at conception.
No it is not practical and I can see both sides, but let's be honest, it is wrong.

Roe v Wade opined that the fetus had no legal standing until it was viable absent extraordinary care. I am comfortable with that. The conservative court found by 7-2 a right to privacy, which was accepting numerous precedents that had been previously found by the SCOTUS and federal appellate courts. Though SCOTUS is not bound by precedent, they often find it handy and use it in their opinions.
After 6 months? I agree with the right-to-lifers. Once the fetus has standing, I think that the burden is on the mother to show that a continued pregnancy is a material threat to her physical health. A simple mental health exception - demanded by NOW, et al - is not appropriate as it would practically remove the prohibition.
I've never met anyone that liked abortions.
Life born to a 15 year old minority girl in the ghetto of American city's usually does not end up well, for the mother or the child, but the one in thousand chance that child grows up and becomes all she or he can become seems worth taking.
