Big

The election of Mr. Brown is earth shaking.  This effectively ends the "o" agenda.  The liberal agenda of spending and government control has been soundly rejected.  Health care takeover is dead.

Of course Rachael Maddow tried to explain it off as MA sexism (no female has been elected Govenor or Senator)

Wow.

It is very big, though not quite as big as the Good Doc thinks.

Does it end Health Care Reform? Absolutely not. It makes passing Health Care Reform all the more important. Failure to do so will paste a big "Impotent" sign on the forehead of each Democratic pol. If they can't take solid majorities in both houses and pass something they have been working on for a year, what good are they?

I hope that any nervous Democrats announce right now that they are not running for re-election. It will free them up to do the right thing and pass some serious legislation this year absent fear. Ironically, that will be the best path to a successful November for the party in power.

I can't think of a better way to end the Massachusetts story than with the House passing the Senate bill as is. Then, the subject will be Democratic victory.

Not gonna happen and should not happen.

This is exactly why the wacky left is getting their teeth bashed in, the country including Democratic MA has soundly rejected the bad bill that is health care, yet you bozo's still want to impose it on the country.

The people's elected representatives want to pass the bill - that is hardly an imposition. Our solid majorities were elected by the people.

The voters of Massachusetts already have universal coverage - the passage of Obama's plan is not critical in the bluest of states.

I first heard Nina Easton mention Massachusetts "dirty little secret" about electing women on FNC this past Sunday. The view is that any of the male members of the congressional delegation would have won by ten points. Scott Brown will have a comfortable seat - for two years.
