You'll note that Obama explicitly stated that those operating in good faith under the legal advice provided by the Bush Administration have safe harbor.
He has said that those providing the flawed legal advice may have trouble, depending on the AG.
Frankly, I wish he would clearly state that no one will be facing trial or impeachment and stipulate that all were acting in their highest sense of right. He then needs to have a 911 commission style probe that will not deliver any scalps. I would like the torture issue resolved going forward with respect to the constitution and our treaty obligations.
I stand by my conviction...that when you go to war with people that are trying to kill you regardless of what you believe or try to persuade them is the right thing to do, you better go to win, and when you go to win you go with all the stops pulled out...kill or be killed
