For those of you who have been drinking the Global Warming Kool-Aid, here's a tip: Put down that Kool-Aid and put on a Parka!!!
The problem for the Warmers is that reality is so darn pesky.
When the model doesn't give the results the designer wants he can adjust boundary conditions, equations and coefficients until he gets the right answer. I've done it a lot, but I was always trying to get my models to match reality as opposed to trying to get a politically preferred result. We have learned that the Warmers engaged in the perverse activity of tweaking reality so real data (cooling) got transformed into their preferred result (warming).
But here's the rub: turns out that tweaking data won't change Reality. Ten years and counting and now we get the strongest Arctic blast in decades. I don't know if Hell has frozen over, but it must be very, very chilly in the computer labs at the University of East Anglia and the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
Here's one more tip for you Warmers: Rather than Copenhagen, have your next summit in Barbados!!!

The absurdity of the charade has finally been exposed to the light. Yet they still are trying to ram something through. Now that Barry has brought the power of the EPA in the government is just going to strangle our economy to death.
Okay - the collective wisdom of the scientific community means nothing, but damning emails between two (count'em - two) scientists lights up the the right wing blogosphere. Do you guys have any sense of proportion?
We still have winter and it gets really cold in some places on the planet and that discredits the concept of climate change? Really? Never mind data - lets just use anecdotes!
If one wants to discredit the scientific community, they will have to do a lot better than that.
Bax,
Let's use data?
We're on the same side now!!! Glad you came over!!!
Based on data, over the past ten years, is it getting warmer or colder?
Before you say ten years is an insignificant period of time, please include in your response what period of time would be significant. I just want o know when to expect you to embrace reality on this subject.
I know you are a smart guy, and I'm willing to be patient if you will promise not to condemn the disadvantaged to a lifetime of slowed progress while we wait for you to embrace the facts, not the models.
All the best!

Nope! I am not going to get sucked into an argument that the scientists have already answered. I have said that this field has been well covered by the experts. Why should a couple of amateurs argue the specifics and further reveal their scientific ignorance?
Why not debate rocket science? Do you want to argue about jet propulsion? Or how about molecular physics? Hopefully, you don't, because I can't intelligently argue those subjects.
Remember, I am the guy who knows what he doesn't know. Thank god we have PhD's in those fields that can be relied to give guidance to those wise enough to listen.
For those who are "smarter" than the scientists, I say good luck. I sincerely hope you are right - the positions that you hold risk a great deal on your accurate conclusions. Of course, if you are wrong and we follow your recommended policies, it could prove catastrophic.
For tonight only - heres to ignoring all warnings and simply declaring a benign climate. Cheers!
