Give me a Break

Hey all you left wing loonies...can you guys really agree with Boxter and others that the outrage at these town hall meetings are arranged by the GOP and people are paid to show up...and the Boxters of the world are the ones you support...YIKES you people are dangerous if you agree with them rather than thinking there is a serious problem going on with what this Admn wants to push through.

I think the birthers and wing nuts that show up at these things do a great disservice to the GOP. Would you want to be associated with them? Steny Hoyer called a liar by someone that admits not knowing "big words"? (He may have been related to Joe The Plumber). Meetings where citizens can't ask their questions and the congressmen can't answer for the shouts and jeers of half-witted Teabaggers?

To win elections you need to expand your base - all these events shrink your base. The Teabaggers are but a small minority, and they are showing up egged on by Fox News and their ilk.

Rich you are so far out in looney land with that comment. To win elections you have to win the hot topic debates. Obamacare is starting to cripple the Democratic party. The people showing up at these town hall meetings are citizens who for the most part have not been very politicaly active. They are not being bussed in like the Democrats do. They are traveling to these townhall meetings on their own money using their own transportation and using their own free time to state their valid concerns about the government trying to take away their health care that by and large the vast majority of Americans are happy with.

Why are you liberal wack jobs having such a hard time understanding this?

Can you point to another time in history where conservatives were involved like this? For your info there are a lot of people against Obamcare that actually voted for him. Hence the plummet in the polls. How does that factor into increasing the Democratic base that is shrinking as I type this?

The far right is energized - they are shut out of power and very frustrated by that fact. They have Fox News pushing their buttons all day every day. IMO, they are too smart by half

We will have a Health Care Reform bill go through Congress and receive our President's signature. The worst thing for the country and the reelection prospect of the Democrats would be failure of this important bill. It would reek of '94.

Obviously, the 2010 economy is critical as well. In 1994 the GOP snuck up on the Dems after effectively 64 years in power. I don't think that event will repeat with the Bush years so fresh in our collective psyche.
