Terry...you think we are going to run from this?

Yes, Terry, we (most) Conservatives would repeal the Socialist programs of Medicare and Social Security...and replace them with something better!

This is exactly the point, these entitlement programs, started as small entities are consuming our whole budget and forcing the country into bankruptcy. And now the fools want to "Medicare" the whole industry! Tort reform, competition and direct patient involvement with payment (HSA's) would fix health care!

We have promised too much, entitled too many and are paying dearly for liberal giveaways to gather votes.

Remember when Bush tried to "reform" S.S.? There was no help, just a lot of demagoguery. Every time Conservatives have tried to institute a morsel of fiscal responsibility the liberals have dragged out some grandmother eating dog food.

Rich, you harp on tax cuts, but the problem is run away entitlement spending and unfortunately there is nothing on the horizon except bankruptcy (unless, har, har, har, the bond ghouls save us!)

Terry, at what point do you quit attacking the successful who provide the jobs and feed the coffers of our country and place the blame where it belongs, with the liberal politicians who buy votes in the name of compassion?

I also remember when President Bush tried to get more regulations in place for Fannie and Freddie and Barney and his playmates blocked every attempt in Congress. Now they are all wailing about more governmental regulations. But of course these regulations should never apply to the friends of the Dems.

Jim, how many Conservatives have introduced legislation to repeal social security or medicare? Surely someone has?
If Bush would have had his way of trusting our money to Wall street today how would that have worked out this last year. The stock market relies on honesty, honest auditors, honest CEO's, honest CFO, honest regulators, so let's put to rest Bush's plan togive our money to his people to invest our S.S.
Again for the millionth time I am not against the responsible rich who treat their workers fair, pay their fair share of taxes and not look for tax loopholes to AVOID taxes AND do not take their companies over seas but look at leaving something good in the greatest country of all time.
What happened to building a business in this country and not only passing it on to your children but also to your country, and please don't blame the stokholders who made you move overseas.

Mark -

Name one Bush attempt to get more regulations in place on Fannie/Freddie. Apart from talking (very little) he did NOTHING. He did NOTHING when he had a Republican House and Senate. Barney Frank had NO power to block anything 2000-2006.

Don't repeat things you know to be untrue. Those are called "lies".

Thanks for naming one Bush attempt... uh, I guess you didn't. Unless you make something up, you won't be able to.

Again, like normal...
