Socialist/Hypocrites

I ask all you Republicans on this blog to ask your Republican Congressmen, and Senators, to repeal Social Security, a socialist program, introduce legislation to end medicare, a government run single payer program.

You cannot say you are against socialistic programs, government run health care, without condemning these programs, well you can if you are hypocrites.

I did not know about this post when I posted the video, well addressing this issue, in the following one.

All the more reason to talk about it. The GOP has opposed our nation's most popular government programs. In a few years, your kids will be amazed that anyone, much less their beloved dad, opposed universal health coverage.

Terry correctly pointed out that we have many programs in place once labeled "socialist" by the Republicans. Not just SS and Medicare - but the minimum age, 40-hour work week, overtime, unemployment insurance, and workers comp.

If the GOP is honest and consistent in these matters, we will not have to worry about their governance for generations.

OK Terry, I e-mailed my two Democratic Senators and my Democratic Congressman and asked them to repeal Social Security and Medicare. They are both bankrupt anyway and the way Barry is spending money they will collapse from the pressure of this unprecedented deficit spending.

By the way for Rich and Terry pointing out hypocrisy is the biggest joke on the face of the earth. Democrats are by far the most hypocratic party ever known in this country. Democrats say they are in favor of less expensive health care yet they won't do anything about tort reform. The biggest hypocrit in politics today is your boy Barry. What ever happened to transparency? What ever happened to giving the public enough time to review every piece of legislation? Whatever happened to no more earmarks? Look at Nancy Pelosi for another great example. There is video of her saying how she loves disrupters and protesters when it comes to the War in Iraq but now if you speak up and protest against health care you are Un-American.

Rich you are way off base with your statements. If the Democrats had had their way Barry and other people of color would still be slaves.

Mark still doesn't cop to the GOP debt. C'mon Mark - apologize for all Republicans, especially Reagan and Dubya, for saddling future generations with $10T of debt. The "generatioonal theft" of the Republicans is scandalous. C'mon, Mark - apologize for your fiscal keystone cops of a party!

Rich you must have a drain where your brain should be as far as your powers of recollection go. How many times in this blog have I stated that I strongly disagreed with the spending by the Republican party? However you can continue to try to defend the problems with the Barry administration by poiting to other times as if that makes everything just peachy. This liberal trick of always dodging the issue like a little kid talking to a parent shows the lack of maturity of liberals. Some day hopefully you will grow up and become a responsible person who believes in truth, justice and the American Way!

Mark -

I have wonderful retention. You keep blaming Republican spending but it is also their reckless tax structure. If GWB had simply maintained Clinton's structure, he'd have had surpluses. Bush raised spending as a percentage of GDP at the same time he lowered revenues as a percentage of GDP. Thats right - the guy that you & Jim and all you right wingers voted for. That is what he did with a GOP Congress. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

That is the reason we are in a pickle today - not Obama and the Democrats. Bush inherited a $200B surplus and handed Obama a $1.3T annual deficit. The economy was collapsing and the future deficits were going to be far worse before Bam did anything! For the likes of you to complain is galling. Your side took a major, steaming dump in the middle of the floor and now you want to blame Obama for the stench.

He will clean your mess up - hopefully without listening to any of the GOP's silly advice.
