Ted Kennedy

Ted Kennedy was born in an America where white kids and black kids could not go to school together in some parts of this country, they could not serve in the Army together, where millions were denied jobs, and opportunities.

Yes it's true, even tho you try to forget it.

He worked to give 18 year olds the vote, he watched his family being drugged thru the mud by ignorant people, who if they had the Kennedy's money would have never opted for public service.

It saddens me that in the midst of some titanic struggles in this country their are so many willing to just criticize.

There is a difference between those who get in the arena (FDR) and roar and those who merely squeak and flee.

Kennedy believed in the beauty of government and tried to make it bigger. We disagree with his view point.

History seems to indicate his view was not the same as his brother the President.

Somehow the left morphs opposition to government (read Socialism) which must inevitably follow from too much government into prejudice.

Terry, a lower percentage of Democrats supported the civil right bill.

Liberal policies are bankrupting this country whether the Lion is Lionized or not.

Hypocrite! You rail on Dante Stallworth for killing someone with a car yet you give the ultimate drunken Senator a pass for killing Mary Jo Kopechne. At least Dante Stallworth had the intestinal fortitude to truthfully admit to his wrong doing. Kennedy was just another in a long line of political opportunists who have taken advantage of the ill gotten gains of their bootlegging Father in order that they can consolidate more power and look out for their own causes. The outrageous lies that he spouted during the Judge Bork Supreme Court appointment hearings is a classic example of the fact that he is one of the primary reasons why this country is as politically divided as it is. He was by far the least truthful Senator in Washington.

He has also used his power to protect the Kennedy clan monopoly on the importation of certain types of scotch into this nation. He was the ultimate hypocrit Senator. Witness how he blocked the building of windmills off of Hyanisport because they would have partially ruined the view from the
Kennedy compound. He was also present when his nephew with the last name of Smith allegedly committed a rape.
I am truly sorry that he has died, no one in their right mind wishes to see another person die from brain cancer but I believe it is definitely in the nation's best interest that he is no longer a Senator. Witness how even near the end he was hypocritically trying to change MA election law to speed up a replacement after being the driving force to change the time period before because he was afraid that Mitt Romney was going to have a chance to replace
John Kerry if he had won the Presidency with a Republican. He was a drunken womanizer who committed a horrific crime and never had to really pay for any of his deeds during his earthly life. Now he is at the mercy of a higher power where is money and power will do him no good.
