As they jet into Washington on their private jets to ask for help, I am reminded of the great quote "Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand. They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations and refuges of life for ourselves. Even when they enter deep into our world or sink below us, they still think that they are better than we are. They are different.

Why do you think they really want help? Isn't it possible that they all know that it is better to go bankrupt and restructure the companies instead of kow-towing to the left as to how they have to restructure?
Terry, envy and jealousy are two of the baser, less attractive human qualities. Why are you so envious and jealous of the rich? I am far from rich myself but I do not wish to take what their families have earned away from them like you and the left wants to do. Can you say that all the rich are like this? A lot of the rich made their money on their own. Do you want to take their money away as well or just second and later generation rich?
If the rich cannot keep most of what they have earned then where is the incentive to produce? What type of impact do you think this will have on the US economy?
Terry, when you say dumb things with passion, they remain dumb.
Rather than focus your energy on jelousy, how about, just for a moment, you consider what this country would be like without the "rich". What you are referring to are the leaders with capital, ideas and energy.
When you write like this, I truly wonder. What do you have against them and what benifit come from the conclusion of your thoughts?
Who said anything about envy and jealousy? Boy are you guys paranoid? I have said many times if not for the wealthy I could not have put food on the table or my kids thru college. What more do you want me to say? The comment was DIFFERENT. How can you fly your private jet to Washington and stick your hand out for help without realizing what kind of message that sends. These guys are dunderheads who have had their asses kissed so much they believe they are worthy of a bailout. They don't see where they need to cut in their company like owning 5 G-4's maybe? Mark I do not want to take from the rich. I have said before "A rising tide raises all boats" To classify me as hating or not liking the rich is so far off base I can't believe it! My life story is I have prospered because the wealthy have money to spend on their pastimes. Jim G as for you leaders who work hard, ask for no handout, cut first their excesses are the rich I admire.
