Should Michelle Take Barack's Senate Seat?

Should Illinois Governor Blagojevich appoint Michelle Obama to fill Barack Obama's senate seat in the event he is elected president?

I think it's a great idea. She'd be up for election in 2010 during the mid-term of her husband's first presidential term. Illinois would likely elect her and she'd then have 8 years of senatorial experience when Obama will have finished serving his second term in the White House.

What say you?

Keep smoking whatever you are smoking. It must be wonderful to see the world through a haze. Are you in love with this woman or something? Thinking of stalking her? If Blago can keep from being indicted and Barry wins it will be Jesse Jackson Jr. It will definitely not be a Daly because Blago and Richie are at war so Blago will not name Richie's brother as some have speculated here in the Chicago media. Jesse will be the one and that can be shown by the fact that he did not run against Richie Daley for mayor last time. He was definitely considering it and then at the last moment decided not to. His congressional seat is safely Democratic so by naming him the Dems will not have any risk. This will also be payback for Jesse Jr. telling his dad to be quiet.

If Blago is afraid of the pokey, wouldn't he want to ingratiate himself with someone who has the unfettered power to pardon?

Be realistic. She is obviously not qualified! Oh wait you also believe that Barry is qualified but that Sara Palin is not. Forgive my first statement.
