So Rich, when you get what you want, what will we look like?

Below the following rambling, are a few interesting articles for our reading pleasure

Things are looking grim for the rational right with a flawed candidate and the Judo maneuver which seemingly has the public blaming the credit crisis not on those responsible (the Democrats-as stated by Democratic pollster P. Cadell on Fox) but somehow on Bush. Sarah is wonderful but cannot carry all of McCain's water.

So what will we look like with the Presidency and Congress controlled by the liberals? France is nice but, really Rich, do we want to forge our society to mirror theirs? I remember how distraught the left was after Bush's victories, now I guess it is our turn. We have no one to blame but ourselves and the stupid legislators who messed up the chance of a lifetime to bring fiscal sanity, without tax increases.

We still have 31 days until the election. I'm not counting my chickens. Unanticipated events can influence the election. I would not be surprised by an Al-Queda attack on US soil in the next month. Nothing like 911 - rather like Madrid or London. At a minimum OBL will come out with an audio tape a few days before the election. Any of these will help Johnny Mac. I don't think the terrorists want the US to be run by a black man with an Arab name. It hurts their sales effort.

IF the good guys win, we will look much better as a nation. We have been so poorly served for the past 8 years, that Obama will materially improve things just by showing up. I can't wait!

You are right - you have no one but yourselves to blame.

Here's to the next 62 years!

Getting you to answer a question is harder than Pelosi's hair.

IF the good guys win, we will look much better as a nation.HUH?

More government, less? More taxes, more corporate taxes, less American corporations? More abortions, welfare, less drilling, no nuclear anything?
Insead of being defined, how about you give a difinition a try. I know with such a rag tag of ideas with out a coherent thought process besides "hate Bush" offering any picture can be difficult but heck, real estate is slow, give it a try.

Okay, I'll play. Higher taxes on the high end, tax relief in the middle. Carbon taxes will offset taxes elsewhere - perhaps FICA. Non-carbon energy will; replace the dirty stuff m ore rapidly than many thought possible. We'll have a little more offshore drilling but no a lot due to the expense. No new nuclear, which would have frustrated our non-proliferation efforts. Our moral authority in the world will increase substantially. Old alliances will be rekindled. Our relationship with Russia will markedly improve. Iran + N Korea will come to terms or be boxed up by the International Community. The world economic crisis will play out in 2009 with a substantial recovery in 2010. We will move towards a balanced budget, much as we did in the 1990s. It will occur during Mr Obama's second administration, right before Mrs Obama's first term as president.

Rich,
Not sure how much of this fantasy rambling you truly believe but if you believe even one tenth of this than I now know that you live in a land where munchkins are everywhere and the main road is made of brick painted yellow.

Mark - 100%, baby. I forgot to mention that we will have MORE FREEDOM (no more illegal wiretaps) and a STRONGER NATIONAL DEFENSE (thanks to more effective resource deployment and rebuilt alliances).

Just compare the Clinton years with the last eight. Why would anyone vote for the Republicans?!

Let us examine the true fantasy parts of your comments. Increased capital gains taxes. How much do you think this will raise? I have some news for you, these gains are gone. The wealthy stay wealthy because they know how to avoid taxes. So increasing tax rates on the wealthy will be a total failure.
Tax relief to the middle class is also fantasy. Since the government revenue stream will be far lower than it has been due to decreased corporate profits and no capital gains to be taxed. Barry will be forced to forego any tax relief to the middle class just to keep things from spiraling totally out of control.
Carbon taxes are the biggest joke of all time. So you want everyone to pay more for our energy needs than we are already. What kind of impact do you think this will have on inflation? In the end increased costs to businesses are always passed on to the consumer. So the cost of transporting our food across the country increases substantially. Constant downward pressure on wages causes most Americans purchasing power to keep decreasing as inflation takes hold. Spending continues to decrease as Americans tighten their belts. Business failures move to all time highs. Jimmy Carterville here we come. Money gets tighter. Interest rates increase and we now revisit the misery index. Sounding familiar?

President Barry comes on TV wearing a sweater and telling us all we have to learn to live with less and turn down our thermostats. The America we used to know is now a memory.

In order to lower government spending to offset the decreased revenue stream we drastically cut military spending. The rest of the world now loves us just like you predicted Rich.
