Quiet today

I post an Obamanomic article and ZIP.

Rich must be tired.

I forgot, he only reads the pictures.

Jim,
You will always find someone somewhere who will defend the VP choice. If Paris Hilton were chosen someone would have said, she'd atract young voters. So digging through the millions of negative articles to find one good one doesn't really make for a good argument.
Mitt Romney would have been a better choice, even though the Republicans didn't like him. The Republicans were going to vote for McCain no matter who he chose, it was the moderates he needed in a general election.

Gary is my buddy, always ready to contribute...no wait, he changed is vote to Al. My feelings are still hurt.

You do raise a good topic, however. The party rejected a true conservative to "appeal" to moderates who were sure to support our candidate. So how is that going for our moderate candidate? And without a conservative candidate talking about our issues, we are also getting our butts kicked in other important races.

As I have previously written, consistently, conservative Presidential candidates win elections. Moderates (Ford, Bush, McCain) lose. A moderate message is inherently muddled, which leads me to my next post.

Gary,

First of all the Sara Palin criticisms are a red herring thrown up by the liberal MSM and the Obama campaign to undercut her popularity with middle America and undo the bump she gave to the McCain campaign effort. She is not the Presidential candidate!

Second I disagree with you. McCain had to do something to firm up the conservative base. He is a moderate and was in danger of not having the turn out of the old reliables. There were so many that were unhappy that I read many arguments stating "I hope Obama wins that way after he screws up conservatives will sweep back into power".
Is Palin ready to be the President if something happens to McCain? There are certainly doubters. But let us look at the bigger picture she is more qualified to be President than Barry is and that is a fact. At least she has some Executive experience as a Governor. Barry has never done anything but write a book where he claims that an anti-American preacher has had a great impact on shaping his views and character.

The question everyone should be asking themselves is in the dangerous world we live in and with the economic situation being what it is today do you think Barry or McCain have the experience necessary to deal with these problems and get things done? It is pretty simple and we all should not get lost in the constant attacking of Sara Palin.

I stand corrected. Sarah Palin was a terrific choice. She will make a great president should we need her. I can't wait until they swear her in and . . . oh, wait, I just got a glimpse of the most recent polls . . . um, never mind.

Gary,

Have you seen the AP poll and the Investor's Business Daily poll that have come out over the last two days? Both show Obama leading 44 to 43. It is not over to the fat lady sings.

However seeing that you are so concerned about Sara Palin why is no one talking about "hair plug" Joe? He made another tremendous gaffe the other day saying that Obama would be severely tested right away during his Presidency and that he can name at least 5 possible sources. Now no one can find Joe. Do you want this lying moron to be the President if something happens to Barry?

Why isn't the MSM bringing up the plagarisms and all of his wrong headed stances on so many points that Joe has had over the years? Joe has been on the wrong side of almost every major policy decision during his terms as a Senator. Barry says he represents change, what kind of change is it to bring one of the most partisan hacks in Congress onto the ticket? If they win and they do not have a super majority you will see logjam like never before. My hope is that the Republican minority gives them the same treatment over judges and policies that they have given Bush.

You are taking your eye off of the ball and the reason for bringing Sara Palin on to the ticket. So you think it was a mistake and McCain should have chosen Mitt Romney? I can buy that. However it is over and done and she is not running for the Presidency. Many out there believe that Sara Palin is a breath of fresh air and might bring a real American attitude into the top of the government should McCain win.

All in all she is much less of a negative since she is the number 2 than having someone with no experience whatsoever being the number 1, like with Barry.

Almost not worthy of discussion. To say she is qualified is to show disrespect for the presidency. Have you no idea what presidential timber looks like?

If you saw her with Charlie or Katie, you can't possibly feel comfortable with her and her secessionist husband in the WH.

She either doesn't read or leaves that distinct impression, which disqualifies her in and of itself. It's too reminiscent of the current occupant.

Right now, Johnny Mac is wishing he picked Romney or perhaps even Ridge, as that would have PA In play if not red.

I said it during the MN convention - she peaked and now she is a drag on the ticket. God bless America!

So those thousands attending her rallies are what?

Buddy, there is only candidate I would take the time to go hear speak.

And I am not alone.

Those would be right wingers, Jim.

I would love to spend time alone with her in an Alaskan hunting cabin.

And I am not alone.
